925 Sterling Silver and Eco-Friendly Silver

925 and 935 sterling silver are highly compatible with the skin due to their antibacterial properties. To maintain their shine, occasionally polish the jewelry with silver polishing cloths. This will restore their brilliance.

Note: Sterling silver is a very soft metal, making it prone to bending. Over time, sterling silver develops a darker patina, referred to as tarnishing. This is a natural and unavoidable chemical reaction. To prolong the lifespan of sterling silver and vermeil gold, avoid exposing the jewelry to water, soap, chlorine, salt, or sweat.

750 Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil is not your average gold plating. These sterling silver jewelry pieces are coated with a thick layer of solid 18k gold.

Quick note: The difference between plating and vermeil lies in the thickness of the gold layer. Plating is the thinnest possible layer and is often applied over brass, while vermeil features a thick, solid layer of gold over sterling silver. Vermeil doesn’t wear off as quickly as plating typically does.

You can clean vermeil with a small amount of mild dish soap and cold water. Use a VERY SOFT toothbrush for cleaning. Immediately and thoroughly dry the jewelry (do not leave it wet longer than necessary). Please note that even the gentlest cleaning carries a slight risk of fading or minor scratches.

Gold-Plated Stainless Steel

Gold-plated stainless steel means that a layer of gold is bonded to the surface of a base metal. We use only genuine 18k gold for our plating. Stainless steel is a hard and robust material that does not rust. However, to keep your jewelry in pristine condition, avoid exposure to chemicals and moisture.

Freshwater and Shell Pearls

Excessive heat can destroy the chemical structure of pearls and make them brittle. Keep your pearl jewelry away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. Sweat can also damage pearls. While occasional wear won’t harm them, avoid wearing pearl jewelry during activities that cause heavy sweating.

After each wear, gently clean your pearl jewelry with a soft, damp cloth to remove any cosmetics or sweat. Avoid using chemical cleaners for pearl care.

Important: Pearls are natural products! The negative effects of beauty products on pearls can be minimized by putting on your pearls only after applying makeup and deodorant. Always remove your pearls before showering or swimming.
